On 1 June 2024, Aerial Platform Hire and Blulift announced they are officially merging to trade under the Aerial Platform Hire name. This exciting move represents a significant expansion for Aerial and means customers will have access to a much wider range of quality equipment.
The merger is part of a strategic vision laid out by Aerial’s parent company, Briggs Equipment, which aims to offer customers a first-class rental service across the island. Aerial’s powered access fleet has increased considerably and will continue to do so over the coming months. Work to upgrade Aerial’s premises in Dublin, Cork and Limerick will also gather pace.
Customers will be able to rent scissor lifts, boom lifts, telehandlers and more from leading brands such as Genie, JLG, LGMG, Hinowa, JCB, Dingli, Manitou and Almac. Along with an expanded network of depots and increased industry expertise, this positions Aerial Platform Hire as one of Ireland’s premier equipment rental companies.
Following the announcement, Aerial Platform Hire’s General Manager, Keith O’Rourke, said: “This is an exciting new chapter for Aerial Platform Hire and I’d like to thank Briggs Equipment for their work in ensuring a seamless transition. Our range of machinery and experience is second to none, and our customers can expect a first-class service at all stages of their rental journey.
“We now have a large selection of lithium-powered machines to go alongside the diesel, electric and hybrid booms and scissor lifts we previously had in our fleet. We also have a great range of telehandlers available.
“Whatever challenges our customers face, we have the ideal solutions. I’m proud of what we can now offer to people across many industries.”
John Cusack, Managing Director of Blulift, added: “I am delighted this merger has been finalised as I believe it gives us a fantastic opportunity to offer customers a comprehensive rental service they won’t find elsewhere.
“Our huge fleet of top-of-the-range equipment means we can meet the requirements of anyone who needs an access machine, whether they are working indoors or outdoors, and regardless of the terrain.
“In particular, the number of electric, zero-emissions machines we have added means our customers can operate in line with ever-tightening environmental and health and safety regulations.
“Our increased geographical coverage also gives us greater flexibility and means we can offer a more efficient service. Our customers deserve the best and we aim to deliver exactly that.”
